Wedding Monogram Giveaway and featured profile

Here is a featured article so you get to know WeddingMonograms. When you finish reading enter for your chance to win an awsome giveaway!
1. Sum up your store in five words or less:
Custom, Affordable, classic, modern, vintage

2. Where do you find your inspiration?
My inspiration comes from everything, soda cans, logos on trucks I see on the highway, designs on plates in a catalogue. Mostly, I'm inspired by the brides who come to me seeking a particular type of design. Sometimes they have a design they've seen from another designer, but can't afford to buy. I try to match as closely as possible the theme and feel they are going for.. I've done monograms based on baseball teams, family crests, movies, ethnic themes and lots and lots of vintage shabby chic designs. I enjoy creating each new custom order and seeing the trends for each season. Damask designs and the color Eggplant (Purple) seems to be the most popular sellers for the past few months.

3. Why did you get involved with Etsy?
I got involved with etsy because of a friend. She'd sold many jewelry items through etsy and got me excited about it. When I got engaged, I also noticed many brides on different wedding forums raving about how much they loved Etsy. I decided to give it a shot. I've been extremely pleased with how easy it is to use and promote your products.

4. Any tips for success you'd like to share/ what advice would you give to someone just starting out?
My best advice for someone starting out on etsy is to price your items competatively. Research the prices that other sellers are using and price yours as low as you can. Build your clientele and your etsy ratings for a while before you raise your price to match your competators.

5. What can we expect to see next from you?
My goal over the next month is to post more invitations, save the date cards and actual printed items. Ideally I'd like to offer all my most popular designs as digital files and as printed assembled products too. I'd also like to begin to offer business logos, avatars etc.

6. What does your workspace look like? (Tell me about it? Do you work where ever? Do you try to surround yourself with things that inspire you? Are you a messy creator or do you clean as you go? ect ect) Bonus if you have a picture :)
Because my designs are mostly digital files, alot of my work is stored on my computer. I have hundreds of orders sorted by the couple's names on my computer and its a constant struggle to keep them organized efficiently. I'm a messy creator. My desk is coated with homework for my college courses, cardstock, printed samples, envelopes, notes, packing tape and usually a kitty or two.

7. What are your favorite materials to work with?
My favorite materials to work with? The Adobe Creative Suite has really made my business possible. Adobe Illustrator is my primary tool but I also use Photoshop and Fireworks for special projects. Because they are professional grade programs I can easily make high resolution designs and I have thousands of tools at my disposal. I'm especially a big fan of the new CS4 updates... they've made some nice improvements to the tools.

8. Where do you hope to be a year from now?
A year from now my goal is to have a positive feedback of 300+ on Etsy. I'm also engaged to be married in the spring so of course I'm excited to be "Mrs. Furgason." I'll also finally be a senior in college. Hooray!

9. Any street teams you're associated with? (Links would be helpful!)
Street teams: InCrowd Street team (indiana street team), KNET, wedding team
