Wedding Vows Personalized Painting

The first wedding vows painting with the church was inspired by the vows which were on the invitation to my brother-in-law’s wedding. I wanted to do something memorable with the wording as a wedding gift. The church was just a practical reminder of the blessing of their love on this special day. It was a last minute idea the night before the wedding. I stayed up all night and managed to squeeze about 2 hours of sleep in prior to the wedding. Through this and other late night paintings, I have found I am at my most creative during this half dreamy, half wakeful state of mind, where you just paint and do not question every stoke. The second example was a custom order request for someone that wanted a painting that matched her friends taste and used the wording from her wedding. So each painting is as original as the recipients.
